FOUR YEARS OF SUPPORT

As the Hurlingham Club Foundation draws closer to its fourth birthday in August, we wanted to take this opportunity to share a little more information about who we are and what we do

We were established in 2021 by a group of members who saw the benefit of using everything Hurlingham had to offer, to support activities for those who were less fortunate, who didn’t have equal access to food, childcare, sports facilities and opportunities to thrive. With support from some very generous members who donated time and money, the Foundation has flourished and now runs a multitude of programmes that support and inspire children (0–15) and older adults (65+) in Hammersmith and Fulham.

In collaboration with local partners, we deliver programmes that:

  • Combat loneliness and isolation
  • Keep people moving, active, and connected
  • Tackle food poverty with compassion and care
  • Are always inclusive and dementia friendly

In 2024 alone we achieved the following milestones:

  • 812 older people supported
  • 1,572 free meals provided
  • 939 children supported
  • 38 community organisations supported
  • 959 items donated
  • 498 members of the community accessing free training, coaching or education
  • 1850 volunteering hours given

And if the numbers don’t move you, the stories will. One of our local charity partners recently remarked:

‘In 2023, we partnered with the Hurlingham Club Foundation to offer weekly private swimming lessons for two children and their parents. Fast forward two years, and thanks to their incredible support, seven children and their carers have now learned to swim. With guidance from professional swim coaches, our children have benefitted from regular sessions in the water. For families facing extreme hardship, including serious health challenges, these sessions have provided much-needed respite, the opportunity to reset in a calming and beautiful environment. We are extremely grateful to the Hurlingham Club Foundation for making this possible and look forward to working together in 2025, giving even more children the opportunity to swim’

None of this would be possible without the generous support of Hurlingham, and that of our corporate partners KYN Hurlingham and Seventeen Group. Our aim is to build a stronger, more supportive community for everyone and we appreciate those of you who have donated, volunteered, shared our information or attended our events.

Donate Today

Your generosity helps provide vital support to children and older people within our local community. Whether it’s funding free meals, sports programmes, or community outreach, your donation makes a direct impact where it’s needed most. You can also register for regular giving by contacting us to set up a monthly payment. Contact leanne.ayin@hurlinghamclub.org.uk to arrange this.

Run for a Reason

In September 2025 we will be holding our first-ever charity Fun Run in aid of the Foundation’s fourth birthday. We will be urging staff and members to sign up to run three laps of the Club (5k) or walk one lap (1.5k) to show your support for our work. To register your interest and get more information, please get in touch with Foundation Manager, Sarah Williams, by emailing: sarah.williams@hurlinghamclub.org.uk

We are delighted to announce that local partners, Savills in Fulham, will kindly support this event. Thank you!
