EMBROIDERY
Creative and Accomplished
Allow me to be personal here. For the past eight years I have loved every minute of the 288 Tuesdays (8 years x 12 Tuesdays x 3 terms) when I joined a group of women (we could do with a few men – don’t be shy!), who are so creative and much accomplished embroiderers. We’ve been through Covid, lost our much talented teacher, Owen Davies, have supported each other with life’s ups and downs, and we have laughed a lot.
It is time for me to pass on the torch to the fabulously energetic embroiderer, Carrie Starren, who is taking over this column, while Penny Birts, another energetic embroiderer and talented artist, will manage all communications. Any questions, please ask Lily in Member Events: lily.teesdale@hurlinghamclub.org.uk.

This selection of images shows just a few pieces of work which are currently being worked on. Some of these will take hundreds of Tuesdays to finish. Watch out for the next issue to admire a world of flowers as embroidered by the team.
